From November 1, 2023, the Museum of History of the National Aviation University (NAU) and the "Training Hangar" of NAU are open for visitors!

The tour begins at the main building of NAU on the second floor, where the Museum of History is located, established in 1972.

The museum exhibition features artifacts reflecting the background of the establishment of the Kyiv Aviation Institute, its history, stages of development, events, and achievements. Among the exhibits are rare aviation history prints, original photographs, models of aviation equipment, badges, gifts, and awards of the university, an exhibition of prominent figures of the university who have made a significant contribution to the world scientific heritage.

The tour continues in the "Training Hangar" of building No. 11, where aircraft, helicopters, and gas turbine aviation engines are housed separately. All aircraft are dissected, allowing visitors to see the "skeleton" of the aircraft.

The hangar contains various types of weapons and missiles used in the war since the start of the full-scale invasion by Russian aggressors into Ukraine. This includes missiles such as the Х-22 and X-55 missiles, as well as the 5В55 surface-to-air guided missile, which is part of the S-300 complex, training guns, machine guns, and a cannon from a self-propelled anti-aircraft installation.

Operating hours can be found on the official website or by contacting the phone number provided.

The State Aviation Museum of Ukraine named after O.K. Antonov is the largest historical and technical museum not only in our country but also in all of Eastern Europe. It was solemnly opened in 2003 on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of world aviation and the 70th anniversary of the National Aviation University. The museum is located on the territory of the former training aviation base (UATB) of the Kyiv Institute of Civil Aviation (NAU), and the assigned aircraft became the core of its collection. However, starting with just 30 aircraft, today the State Aviation Museum counts 92 aircraft and helicopters.

The exhibition can be viewed on the museum's official website. The opening of the central location of the State Aviation Museum named after O.K. Antonov at 1 Medova Street is planned with the consent of state structures.
